One Resourcing Ltd is excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client Aurrigo at London Gatwick Airport with training start very soon. Aurrigo is a leading international provider if smart air-side solutions and automotive products. Based in Coventry, Aurrigo have been doing work in many different airports across the world including Schiphol an Stuttgart Airport and are currently working alongside one of our clients, GGS (Gatwick Ground Services) at London Gatwick Airport.
- Contract: Temporary-to-Permanent, Full Time
- Roster/ Hours: Monday-Friday / 09:00am-17:00pm (Flexibility with hours may be required alongside weekend availability depending on operational requirements)
- Pay Rate: £13.95ph
- Overtime: Monday-Friday = 1.5x / Saturday-Sunday = 2x
- Training: 1 Week at Coventry HQ (All expenses paid)
We are now looking to expand our team of Autonomous Vehicle Safety Operators to join our team, reporting to the Operations Manager. All travel and accommodation is fully paid, along with all expenses. You’ll work a full time 38-hour week, but this could include early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work. You will be fully trained to operate the latest in autonomous ground support equipment and some of our other autonomous vehicles too.
The Role:
- Working at one of our airport partners
- You’ll pass through staff security to the airport air-side environment.
- Perform any routine maintenance and perform a daily or monthly safety check before setting out. You will
- also ensure the vehicle is clean and presentable.
- With reference to the work plan and daily briefing, you’ll be responsible for monitoring an autonomous baggage vehicle as it performs operations around the airport. This might include driving the air-side roads, picking up passenger bags, loading an aircraft, or performing other tests alongside colleagues from the engineering team.
- You will record daily running data and reporting back to the project team.
- You will work in close partnership with stakeholders from the airport, ground handling agents, airlines, and other project partners.
- As well as monitoring autonomous driving, you’ll be responsible for manually driving the vehicle around for engineering, testing or other purposes.
- Support customer and stakeholder demonstration events
Requirements:
- 5 years’ worth of satisfactory references and satisfactory criminal record check to obtain an air-side pass.
- Current and full UK Licence with a minimum of 5 years driving experience?
- Access to a car with appropriate business use insurance
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work accurately under pressure
- Perform with a high level of concentration over long periods of time.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, e.g. how to change a wheel.
- Basic MS Office skills, e.g. MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
Experience:
- Previous air-side experience for a ground support agent, airline, or airport.
- Previous experience driving e.g. forklift truck, pallet loaders, taxi, bus, HGV etc.
- Interest in technology, computing, or automotive.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
